Q: Why would I give digitally?
A: This option makes giving easy, because most people don’t like to write checks or carry larger amounts of cash with them. Also, for those rare occasions that you are not able to be at the service, you can still easily give your tithes & offerings with your computer, phone, or any internet enabled device. We have had so many requests for digital giving, and we’re excited to be able to now offer it!
Q: Is it safe to give online?
A: Yes. Our giving gateway company uses the same security of online banking institutions.
Q: What types of financial accounts can I give from?
A: You can give digitally with a debit card, check card, or a credit card.
Q: If people are trying to get out of debt, why does PHWC accept credit card/debit card donations?
A: Many people use a credit card/debit card in place of checks or cash throughout the month, then pay off the balance in full. For these people, we offer the option of using a card to give. If you have ongoing credit card debt, we strongly discourage you from using a “credit card”, but encourage you to use your debit or check card instead.
Q: Will I have any fees involved with giving online?
A: Absolutely Not! – Giving digitally is the same as if you wrote a check.
Q: Can I make a one-time contribution?
A: Yes. The system allows you the options of how to give, where to give, how much to give, and how often to give… all in a very easy interface.
Q: If I want to set-up an automatic recurring gift, what are my options for frequency of my gift?
A: For recurring gifts, you have the option of automatically giving every week, every two weeks, or every month.
Q: Can I change my personal information or the amount of my gift once I have set it up?
A: Yes. You can change or cancel your contribution at any time before the date of your next contribution. Simply log in using your user name and password and make the necessary changes in the system.
Q: Will I still receive regular contribution statements from the church?
A: Absolutely! The church will continue to give you a year-end contribution statement for your tax purposes.
Q: Can I designate my offering to a particular area?
A: Yes, you can designate your offering towards your tithes, offerings, or missions, or any combination of those by using the drop down arrow.
Q: How will I know that I set up my gift correctly?
A: Immediately after submitting your contribution, you will receive an e-mail verifying your contribution. You will also be able to see all of your giving history inside your account.
